The aging poet Tauno Lintunen sets off on a poetry matinee tour with his young colleague Tomi Rusko. Lintunen, suffering from the pain of creation and a midlife crisis, flies from flower to flower during the trip, but still misses his wife Kaarina, who has moved to live with the publishing manager.
Sokkotanssi (1999)
The film is set in the early 1960s in a small seaside town. The film's protagonist, Jonti (Walter Gröhn), has a head full of questions. Jontti lives a curious life with a stream of questions. Everything changes when Jontti finds out that his father (Martti Suosalo) has another woman. The town is small, everyone knows each other and his father's new love. This humiliates Jontti, who would like his father's new love to die. While fighting against invisible forces, Jontti himself encounters his first tender love. Jontti's best friend Länki (Mikko Vanhala) also tries to make his own dream come true. Innocent pranks turn into a bloody reality when Länki loses one of his legs while trying to take revenge on his teacher (Sulevi Peltola). But even that doesn't discourage Länki, who wants to go to sea, closer to his lost father. The film also stars Pirkka-Pekka Petelius as a barber and Vesa-Matti Loiri as a drunkard.
